Dai6 gaa1 hou2 大家好(Hello everyone). For those new students that have just been added to this email update list, fun1 jing4 歡迎 (Welcome!!!)
Happy November everyone!. This year is just flying by. This is mid-term week for the Cantonese 101 classes.
As we are at the half way point in the semester we will be administering the mid term quiz to both the Wednesday night and Saturday afternoon 101 classes. The quiz is open to anyone, even if you've missed several classes. I will start both classes with a 30 minute review, then give out the test, which should take about 30 minutes, so please try to be on time. Anyone from the Wednesday class may take the test on Saturday and vice versa, if it works out better for your schedule. You may also take it the following week or even on line if you prefer....I mean, what the heck? It's just for fun anyway..right? For those who do want to study and have missed some classes i have attached the materials we will be testing on.
Mia should also be back tonight for her 102 class, and don't forget our Saturday classes (see full schedule below). Kam just finished grading the quizzes that she gave out last Saturday and said she was very pleased with them. She'll be returning them this coming Saturday.
Remember all of the classes are FREE (any donation appreciated) and any of the classes may be attended at any time. So come on down if you have time. Don't forget to practice your Cantonese and Chinese characters every day.
For those new people who need it, I've posted the current schedule below. Feel free to email or call me with questions, comments, trivia or babble. Hope to see you all in class.
