Description We have a variety of classes in Cantonese designed for different people; from those who just want to brush up, are researching the language, need to learn for work or personal interests, or simply the appreciation for Chinese-Cantonese-Toisan culture & language.You are welcome to join the Beginner or Advanced Beginner's Cantonese classes anytime in the semester but an e-mail or text message is required so instructor can bring the Cantonese handbook: Price for book: Beginner's handbook (using the "Ping Yum" system, which is using English phonetics to help pronounce the Cantonese words, e.g. How are you? Lay ho mah?: Cantonese Saturday Cycle: April 17-May 22Location: 273 Bowery st and houston st (Houston st center) Manhattan, near wholefoodsLevels: Beginner: 1:30 to 2:30 pm (Beginner's Cantonese Handbook: $13.00, Levels: Advanced Beginner's: 2:40 to 3:40 (Advanced Beginner's Cantonese Handbook: $8 Subway: F train to 2nd Ave. Classes are tuition FREE-but donations are welcome to help cover the costs of Rent, materials, and supplies for the Cantonese & Toisan Cultural Society program: Suggested donation: $4
