Ode to the Tribute to the Cantonese

Oh Cantonese my Cantonese

You are the Anthem of the Chinese

A song to my ears and soul, of you I am proud

Canto a musical composition. I will pronounce your word out loud/

You came from my forefathers home land far far away.

Emmigrated all over the world and are here to stay.

You are spoken from old to young in many a lands

Others who speak other languages are making you become their helping hands

My friend next time you hear a bird singing. Ask the feathered friend,

Is that Cantonese you speak? I hear tones, a song, lets us dance together.

A beautiful melody my Cantonese is forever.

This is my ode to this language I call a song.
