Two of K. Moy's classes, her Cantonese 101 taught by Tony, and Cantonese 102 classes, are now moving to the Silk Road Mocha Cafe starting April 19th! A cozy spot in the heart of Chinatown, you can now experience the Cantonese classes you've loved before in a more relaxed setting over coffee or bubble tea!
The Cantonese 101 class which has taken place since the start of the program, and our flagship class, will make the transition first. The material will be a combination of both all-new content and familiar curriculum. From 2:45 PM to 3:45 PM every Saturday afternoon, our class is just in the front of the cafe by the bar area. You can learn all you need to master the basics of conversational Cantonese!
Note: This class is taught by Tony and is located on the mezzanine level of the cafe.
K. Moy has created a Cantonese 102 class, targeted at American-born Chinese but open to anyone with a basic knowledge of Cantonese, which will meet twice a month on the first and third Saturdays. This separate class will feature a very comprehensive Chinese-American history overview with an interactive exhibit. From 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM each Saturday, this will be held in the same area as our Cantonese 101 Class.
